If you are double vaccinated with an NHS administered Covid-19 vaccine and arriving in the UK from a country on the amber list, you are required to take a pre-departure test within the three days of your departure to the UK along with a PCR swab on or before day 2 after you arrive.
The Pre-Departure rapid antigen test can be collected directly from the practice or posted to you prior to your departure for you to take with you on while you travel. You will not be required to take the test until you return to the UK. The lateral flow test will need to be taken via video link with one of our health care professionals within the three days prior to your entry into the UK.
You do not need to quarantine unless the test result is positive.
N.B. Following this booking, we will call you to arrange your video Pre-Departure consultation. We will endeavour to call you within 48hrs of your booking however if you have not heard from us within this time please call the practice directly to arrange your Pre-Departure lateral flow video consultation.
Please book your Day 2 PCR test using this booking system. This test is to be taken on or before day 2 of your arrival to the UK.Please note:
Children under the age of 18 will not have to isolate when returning to England. While the recommendation that people should not travel to amber countries is being removed, children aged 4 and under will continue to be exempt from any travel testing.
Children aged 5 to 10 will only need to do a day 2 PCR and 11 to 18 year olds will need to take both a pre-departure test and a day 2 PCR – as is the case for arrivals from green list countries.
